This week Joel was able to insert bass interludes into the first 25 chapters at chapter breaks and scene breaks. What a delightful idea that was, it provides a sweet break from the non-stop talking. Joel is a genius. He’ll be working on more inserts over the next week. In the meantime the guys worked on re-record edits and tidying up technical glitches in Shows’ reading, such as breaths and tongue clicks. This is tedious work but it tightens up the reading presentation and eliminates distractions.

In the meantime, Shows will be listening to the initial reading of the last 9 chapters, and find any glitches that need corrections.

They also coordinated with John Cehowski. John will be performing one of his original songs titled “If I Could Only.” This song touches the subject matter near the end of the book and will be used as the book closes. John will be out to the studio next week to do the recording. Shows is thrilled that he heard John singing this a month ago as it is a heartbreaking and powerful song that blends seamlessly with the book’s major theme.
